Wreaths and Blankets will be placed on the graves of your loved ones by FHRC Board Members and Volunteers every Weekend between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Tell your Friends and Family. You may also order extra Grave Blankets and Wreaths for your own use. Pick-up at Riverview Cemetery on the weekend you select.

     You can help FHRC - Buy a Tee Shirt!  Price $20.00.  Available at all cemetery events ( Sizes are M, L, and XL ) or by sending your check to "FHRC P.O. BOX 2173 WILMINGTON, DE 19899" (include $2.00 for postage)

Chapel Building:

     November is the month to begin exterior wall repair, roof repair, and waterproofing. We hope to begin interior work in 2010.

Fence Repair:

     The section of fence by Speakman Place is scheduled for repair on Saturday, November 7.

Public Mausoleum:

     The installation of a new roof is scheduled to begin on November 17. New doors and vents will be our next priority.

National Historic Register:

     Be a part of history and learn history at the same time. If you want to help, contact Cheryl at cheshannon@aol.com.

Burials 2003-2008:

     If you have information about burials that took place from 2003 to 2008 please contact FHRC so we can enter the information into our database. Approximately 230 people were buried during this time.

Special Thanks in October To:

• We have a new LOGO – designed by Chris Cocker from Eldersburg, MD. Yes, he is Tedd’s son. Notice the founding date of 1872 and all the details contained in the logo. It is a beautiful symbol of Riverview, past and future.

• Tom Betley with ASTEC Services removed asbtesto from the chapel.

• Cemetery Rules & Regulation Signs have been installed at all entrances to keep Riverview clean and people safe. Our thanks to ‘Signs By Tomorrow’.

• Board members, Tedd donated signs for ‘Holiday Greens’; Kate donated No Dog signs; and Mary continues to donate postage for correspondence.

• Jim Herman and his crew from Plummer & Webb Centers picked up trash while they were in the area for a function at the PAL Center.

• Bill Cawthrey and VFW Post 615 donated a new American Flag. Lt. Jeff Hansen and men from the Plummer Center installed it with pride.

• Wilmington City Police continue to monitor the cemetery.

• Plummer Center (PCC) crews cut grass twice on the East & West sides and FHRC sponsored pizza lunch for 25 men on October 21.

• Floyd Weber finished transcribing the first ‘Public Register’. One more book to go! Thank you Floyd for your dedication behind the scenes.
